MICHIGAN RV REPAIR · OUR IN-HOUSE ADVANTAGE

When the part is hard to find, we look for another way.

Vintage campers and older RVs deserve more than “that part’s discontinued.” Michigan RV Repair has in-house 3D printing and welding capabilities, and also evaluates custom cabinetry, woodworking, RV furniture upholstery, and in-house seamstress projects to help restore or adapt select components.

THE MRR DIFFERENCE

Not every broken part needs to end the trip.

Many RVs—especially vintage travel trailers and pop-up campers—use brackets, clips, trim pieces and specialty fittings that are no longer widely stocked. Instead of stopping at a parts catalog, we can evaluate whether a replacement can be sourced, repaired or made for the application.

01Diagnose the problemWe confirm the failed component and how it functions.
02Source or fabricateWe compare an available replacement with an appropriate custom option.
03Fit, test and finishWe check compatibility and operation before completing the repair.

HOW TO REQUEST A CUSTOM PART

Show us what broke.

  1. Send clear photos. Include the damaged part, its location on the RV and a ruler or measurement for scale.
  2. Share the RV details. Year, make, model and any part or serial numbers help us check fitment.
  3. Tell us what it does. Explain how the component failed and whether it carries a load or supports a safety system.
  4. Approve the plan. We’ll explain whether sourcing, 3D printing, welding, woodworking, cabinetry or upholstery work is appropriate and provide a quote.

Safety and quality come first.

3D-printed parts and custom welds are not appropriate for every RV application. We do not substitute unverified fabricated parts for safety-critical components such as brakes, steering, tow hitches, load-bearing frame members or propane pressure-containment equipment. Such work may require OEM-approved parts, certified specialists or a qualified partner. Availability, materials, inspection and final pricing are confirmed before work begins. Woodworking and upholstery work is evaluated for safe fitment, mounting, fire resistance, and material suitability where applicable.
